The Steamboat Sports Barn is governed by a volunteer board of directors who are passionate about providing year-round sports opportunities to the community of Steamboat Springs.
Leon Rinck
Board President
Leon has been an active member of the Steamboat Springs community for 30+ years and has worked with organizations such as Ski Town Rotary, Main Street Steamboat, and the Steamboat Springs Planning Commission. He currently serves as the President of High Altitude Basketball and is a volunteer youth coach. Leon owns two downtown retail shops and lives in Steamboat with his wife Bette and children, Michael, Eryn, and Jonathan. In his free time Leon enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, skiing and biking.

Doug Klingemann
Vice President & Treasurer
Doug, his wife Lana and their two children, Treyden and Carleigh, have lived in Steamboat Springs since 2017. Doug began playing soccer at just 4 years old, which led to a coaching career spanning three decades.
He currently serves at the President of the Steamboat Soccer Club’s Board of Directors. When not on the pitch,
Doug enjoys mountain biking, skiing, snowmobiling, traveling and volunteering with Routt County Search and Rescue.
Angelica Salinas
Board Member
Angelica is the Executive Director for Whiteout Volleyball Club and works in Communications for the Steamboat Springs Chamber. She serves on the Young Professionals Network board of directors and also owns a local Career Coaching business. When she’s not working, some of her favorite activities include running, mountain biking, skiing, and backpacking. Angelica also loves to travel, read fiction books, and playing with her crazy energetic pup, Bowie.

Rob Bohlmann
Board Member
Rob founded the Steamboat Soccer Academy and is the Steamboat Springs High School Boys and Girls Head Soccer Coach, holding a US Soccer A Coaching License. He started working with the Steamboat Soccer Club in 1987 and served as their Club Director until 2021. Rob is married to his high school sweetheart, Caroline, and they have 3 kids, Gabriel, Natalie, and Murphy, who all grew up in Steamboat, played soccer, and were nordic/nordic combined athletes.
Bart Kounovsky
Board Member
Bart and his wife Nancy have called Steamboat Springs their home since 1990. Their two grown boys were born and raised in Steamboat Springs. He currently is a local businessman and real estate agent. Organizations he has worked with included, President of the Steamboat Springs City Council from 2010 to 2016, Lift-UP of Routt County, President of Concordia Lutheran Church, Co-Chair of First Impressions of Routt County, Treasurer of the Family Development Center, Steamboat Golf Club and the Steamboat Springs Nordic Council. He also officiates high school basketball and soccer.
